Everyone wants to use dark mode on anything these days. And to be honest, most apps and pages offer dark mode already. Think of WhatsApp, FaceBook, your phone, your computer, your browser, etc, etc. I am a big fan of this trend and switched everything I could to dark mode as soon as it came out. But then I got a little annoyed at Gmail in my desktop browser…
I have my Google Chrome browser for my desktop set to dark mode (Settings > Personalization > Colors and select “Dark” ), but when I go to my Gmail, a bright white email programm pops up. But I have a trick to share with you. It is not optimal just yet, but it is close enough.
Step 1: Select themes
Go to your Gmail page and click on the settings icon on the top right and navigate to “Themes”.
Step 2: Select the Dark Theme
Scroll down until you see what you are looking for. Click on the Dark Theme and press save.
Done!
Welcome to the Dark Side 🙂
Give your guests that extra something by dynamically greeting them and giving them the information they need.
